Crook County High School students bring kindergarten monster drawings to life

Ceramics students from Crook County High School recently visited kindergarten students at Steins Pillar to deliver completed clay sculptures based on the younger children's monster drawings.

The collaborative project began several weeks ago when kindergarteners at Pillar drew original monster designs. High school ceramics students then took on the challenge of bringing those drawings to life using clay.

The high school students delivered the finished clay sculptures directly to Pillar to present the art pieces to the kindergarteners who created the original designs.

The cross-grade initiative gave students in Crook County the opportunity to collaborate on an art project from initial drawing to completed sculpture.
