Wildfire recovery resource event scheduled for Nov. 10 in Madras

Bend, Ore. (KTVZ) --- Local, state and federal agencies will host a free Wildfire Recovery Multi-Agency Resource Event on Tuesday, Nov. 10, to assist residents impacted by recent wildfires. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Central Oregon Agricultural Research & Extension Center in Madras.

The resource event aims to bring representatives from multiple government agencies and community organizations together in one location. Affected residents will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about available recovery programs and insurance options and connect directly with support services. Lunch will be provided at the event and residents from surrounding nearby areas are welcome to attend.

A broad range of organizations will be present to offer assistance to attendees. Participating agencies include the Oregon State University Extension, USDA Farm Service Agency, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Oregon Department of Forestry, Oregon Department of Human Services, Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Middle Deschutes Watershed Council. Additional participating groups include the Oregon State Fire Marshal, the Oregon Department of Financial Regulation, the Agristress Helpline and Hope Animal-Assisted Crisis Response.
