Judge sets April hearing on release request from woman involved in Slender Man attack as a child
WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin judge will hold a hearing in April to consider whether to release the second of two women who nearly stabbed a classmate to death in 2014 to please online horror character Slender Man from a psychiatric facility. Twenty-one-year-old Morgan Geyser petitioned Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren Jan. 16 for release from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute. Bohren on Monday appointed three psychiatric experts to examine Geyser. He will consider their reports during a hearing on April 10-11. The other woman involved in the attack, Anissa Weier, was granted conditional release from a psychiatric facility in 2021.
