BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Bend police turned to the public for a brief period Tuesday for help in finding a 75-year-old Michigan resident visiting the city who went for a walk and failed to return, but officers soon found him in good condition.

Officers located James Wilson around 11:45 a.m. "in good condition," Bend Police Communications Manager Sheila Miller said late Tuesday morning, adding, "We appreciate the public's assistance.

In the earlier alert, Miller said that Wilson was "not familiar with the area, and he may be experiencing a medical issue.”

Wilson had left the 600 block of Southeast Gleneden Place around 7 a.m. and did not return, she said.

Police released a photo that shows the T-shirt Wilson last was seen wearing.
