Bend Chamber warns members of email scammers selling list of ‘1,000-plus members, attendees’

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Bend Chamber has warned its members of scammers posing as the organization and emailing with an offer to purchase a list of 1000+ attendees/registrants/members from "Bend Chamber of Commerce 2023."

"If you receive such an email, please do not respond and simply delete it," the business organization said in its Friday email to members.

"We, as your Chamber, do not sell lists from any of our events. Also, there is no such event as “Bend Chamber of Commerce 2023.” Communications that we send will have our logo and branding."

Anyone with questions about a suspect email and who wants to verify that it is from the Bend Chamber was asked to contact Shelley Junker, membership lead at shelley@bendchamber.org or Garrett Jaenicke, director of marketing and member services, at garrett@bendchamber.org.
