BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Italian restaurant Nome Italiano announced on its website Monday that it is officially closed.

The beloved restaurant on Bend's Westside closed with this letter on their door thanking the community, the customers, and of course the staff.

According to their website, Nome Italiano was owned by SixTop Restaurant Group who own Bos Taurus, Miyagi Ramen, and Hablo Tacos.

Nome employed twenty to thirty staff, and offered them positions at their other restaurants.

According to SixTop, the restaurant closed because it failed to produce the sales needed to cover it's large overhead, including rent and labor.

Gift cards from Nome will be honored at other SixTop locations, or you can contact them for a refund.
