Eclipse Madras Gregory Pepion 4-8-2
Gregory Pepion
For this backyard partial eclipse shoot, Madras resident Gregory Pepion says 'I used an Astro modified Canon 7D DSLR attached to a Coronado 70mm Solar Max telescope with dual hydrogen alpha filters to pick up details on the sun. This was on a AZ-GTi star tracker to track the sun so I could take longer exposures. Usually this setup is best on a clear and sunny day. 😂 My first time using this setup to try photographing the sun through clouds."
Eclipse Sisters Vanessa Grayson 4-8
Vanessa Grayson
Sisters photographer Vanessa Grayson said she decided at the last minute to take some eclipse photos 'using a 1.2 ND filter, which worked out fantastic to cut through the haze and clouds.'

It wasn't the "full deal" Central Oregonians experienced in the summer of 2017, but Monday's partial solar eclipse still broke through the thin layer of clouds to give a very special sight to High Desert residents.

Here's a video shot by our NewsChannel 21 Chief Photojournalist Tyson B and some of the images you've shared with us. Feel free to send us yours from the Share tab, and be sure to include where taken - thanks!
