La PINE, Ore. (KTVZ) – Drug agents raided a La Pine home on Wednesday, just after the arrest of a 25-year-old resident who allegedly was acquiring large quantities of methamphetamine and selling them to several people on a regular basis, officers said.

Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team detectives, assisted by the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant around 9:45 a.m. at a residence in the 16000 block of Hakkila Avenue, Lt. Ken Mannix said.

CODE Team detectives have been investigating the man for several months for alleged trafficking of commercial quantities of meth through the county, Mannix said.

Just before the raid, surveillance teams contacted and arrested the man, a passenger in a car in La Pine, Mannix said.

During the raid, CERT Team members contacted three others at the home, all of whom were later released with no charges against them at this time.

Detectives seized at the residence about ¾ pound of meth, seven firearms, cash, scales, packaging material and other evidence of drug sales, manufacturing and distribution, Mannix said. They also seized extraction equipment for BHO (butane hash oil) from marijuana.

The resident was booked into the county jail on drug possession, manufacturing and distribution charges, as well as unlawful manufacture of a marijuana item.
