(Update: Suspects identified after public help sought)

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Redmond police this week thanked community members who saw the photos they released to the public and helped them identify a couple sought in a string of recent store and “porch pirate” thefts.

In their initial Facebook post and tweet on Friday, police said they were seeking the public's help to identify two people and a car shown in photos, in connection with a Jan. 23 theft from Coastal Farm and Garden and several “porch pirate” package thefts the week of Jan. 25.

In a follow-up posting Tuesday, police said both people in the crime bulletin had been identified.

"Thank you to the multiple community members who aided in identifying those pictured," they added.

"RPD is continuing to investigate these cases and more information may be released at the conclusion of the investigation," a second tweet stated.
