SALEM, Ore. (KGW/KTVZ) — A fire at a Tesla dealership in Salem early Monday is being investigated as arson, the Salem Police Department reported.

At around 3:45 a.m., police and firefighters responded to reports that a car was on fire at the dealership located on Mission Street Southeast. Firefighters were able to put the fire out, which was limited to one vehicle.

Officers also found a window panel on the dealership building had been broken.

Nobody was hurt.

Salem police said its felony crimes unit is investigating the fire as arson. The FBI was also at the scene, assisting with the investigation.

A spokesperson for the FBI told KGW it's standard practice to assist local law enforcement, if the FBI has "tools, tactics or techniques" that could assist in the investigation, and directed all other questions to Salem police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salem police tip line at 503-588-8477 and reference case number 25-5807.
