Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help to find fugitive, assault suspect
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office requested the public’s help Wednesday in finding a fugitive wanted in an assault and robbery case last week near Sunriver.
Sgt. Doug Sullivan said deputies were called on Sept. 2 to the home of Troy Kenneth Dahl, 35, in the 55000 block of Heierman Drive, south of Sunriver, where he allegedly assaulted another man, but he had left before deputies arrived.
Dahl has a warrant out for his arrest, Sullivan said, and deputies also have probable cause to arrest him on assault and robbery charges.
Anyone who sees Dahl or knows his location is asked to call 541-693-6911.
Dahl was arrested in May on charges he assaulted a friend with punches and pepper spray, removed his prosthetic leg and threw it into the woods, doused him in gasoline and threatened to light him on fire. He's due to go on trial next spring.
