Cascade Lakes Highway set to open for season Wednesday morning

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, the Cascade Lakes Highway will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Deschutes County officials say.

However, officials advised motorists that roadside snow still exists in the higher-elevation areas.

Also, they said, many parking lots and campgrounds have not yet been plowed or cleared.
