Donald Trump supporters celebrate president-elect’s win with a victory lap around C. Oregon

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Election night was five days ago, when Donald Trump won and was declared the 47th president. On Sunday, Central Oregonians celebrated his win with a caravan. It was a Trump Train Victory Lap and MAGA Party in the Park, where more than a dozen people hopped in their cars with flags attached to participate.

The victory lap started in Madras at Les Schwab, then picked up more people at Redmond Home Depot and  Deschutes Junction Pizza, as well as the Deschutes River Woods Country Store before concluding at Riverbend Park.

We asked Bend resident Jim Marino why he was participating: "Oh, a chance to, I don't know - express pride, I guess, for the way the election results turned out to be."

Supporters said this caravan was a show of strength and solidarity among the president-elect's supporters and base. He's scheduled to be sworn into office as the the 47th president on January 20th.
