Late-night fire destroys abandoned mobile home in Metolius
METOLIUS, Ore. (KTVZ) – An abandoned mobile home was destroyed by a fire late Wednesday night in Metolius, officials said.
Jefferson County Fire District No. 1 crews were dispatched shortly before 11 p.m. to the reported fire on Jefferson Street, Deputy Fire Chief Kasey Skaar said.
Units arrived to find the mobile home fully ablaze and knocked it down quickly, Skaar said.
Fire personnel found no occupants in a search of the structure and protected nearby structures. Crews remained on scene for three hours, conducting overhaul operations, Skaar said.
The cause of the fire was not determined, and there were no injuries.
The fire district was assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County EMS and Pacific Power.
