Update: All evacuation levels have been lifted for the Sno Park Fire in Deschutes County


Update from Deschutes Alerts: "Due to fire conditions the following area is at Level 1 - West of MP 7 on Skyliners Road.

Level 1 means BE READY: Be aware of the danger that exists in your area. Make plans and prepare to evacuate.

Find resources at www.deschutes.org/emergency. Monitor local social media, TV, radio, and telephone devices. Act early if there is any reason you might need extra time to evacuate. Leave right away if you feel you are in immediate danger.

If conditions change quickly, this may be the only alert you receive.

Do not call 911 unless you are experiencing an immediate life safety issue."


BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Firefighters are responding Saturday evening to a new wildfire burning along the 17000 block of Skyliners Road, west of Bend.

The Sno Park Fire was first reported at about 4:34p.m. at one acre. As of shortly after 7:30p.m., incident command estimated the fire at ten acres with high potential to spread. Fire behavior includes creeping, running, group torching, and some spotting, according to Watch Duty⁠.

Firefighters, Air Attack, and a dozer are responding. Additional aircraft and a hand crew have also been requested. Smoke is visible from parts of the Bend area.

The fire’s cause and containment have not yet been reported.
