Former Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer resigns amid misconduct allegations

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Former Oregon 5th district Congresswoman and Labor Secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer resigned on Monday following an investigation into misconduct allegations.

She's facing accusations of whether she pursued a romantic relationship with a subordinate. Her husband is also facing accusations of sexual assault.

KTVZ's Spencer Sacks spoke reached out to Local Lawmakers about the departure and what it means for the future. He will have a full report tonight at 10pm on Fox and 11pm on NBC
