La Pine Park District closes office, some services due to ‘serious harassment’ of staff, both at work and away
La PINE, Ore. (KTVZ) – The La Pine Park & Recreation District announced online Monday that their office and some services have been forced to temporarily close due to “serious harassment" of staff, both at work and in their private lives.
In the note "to our La Pine Community," posted on the park district's website and Facebook page, the park district stated: "Our office is temporarily closed, and we’re figuring out how and when we can reopen."
"We have had to temporarily close some of our services because our staff have been facing serious harassment, both at work and outside of work.
"We’re talking with lawyers about what’s happening, so we can’t share more details right now. We know there are false rumors going around, so we ask you to be careful about what you believe.
"Thank you for your patience and understanding," the note concludes.
