JCMS leadership students explore community service during local field trip

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) --- Students in Ms. Tarvin’s leadership class at JCMS recently got an inside look at how leadership makes a difference in their community.

During a field trip earlier this week, students visited the local food pantry, where they helped unload deliveries and stock shelves.

They also met with the mayor for a question-and-answer session and toured the fairgrounds. While there, students held a leadership meeting with Fairgrounds Board Member Dan Comingore.

The trip gave students an opportunity to learn about community service, local leadership and the people who help their community thrive.
