Stole cash, including lottery money

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Prineville police are looking to the public for tips as they search for a masked man who stole cash, including Oregon Lottery money, from the Lucky 7 Deli on Halloween morning.

The man entered the deli at 610 NW Madras Highway just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday and took the undisclosed amount of money, then fled, Detective Kathryn Bottoms said, adding that no one was injured.

A search of the area failed to find the theft suspect, described as about 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black face mask and black hat, black pants and gray gloves.

Police released a pair of security-camera photos of the suspect, as well as of a car seen in the area around the same time. Bottoms said they cannot provide more details of what apparently took place, due to the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information that could assist in the case is asked to call police at 541-447-4168 and ask for Detective Bottoms or Officer Daniel Pelayo. You can also call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-877-876-TIPS. You can remain anonymous, and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
