Officials say grinding wheel sparked half-acre brushfire Monday in NW Prineville.

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A grinding wheel being used on a truck bed frame sparked a half-acre brushfire that burned power poles and threatened a fourplex in northwest Prineville Monday afternoon, officials said.

Crook County Fire & Rescue crews were called around 1 p.m. to Northwest Seehale Avenue and Pinckard Lane, Division Chief Russell Deboodt.

Six firefighters called to the scene found a half-acre of cattails threatening the fourplex but were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, Deboodt said. Damage was limited to several power poles, which crews were called out to inspect. There were no injuries.
