Summit’s Collin Moore drops 19 points in the third quarter in win against Caldera

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- On Monday, The #1 Summit Storm defeated the #8 Caldera Wolfpack. The two teams have been atop the IMC throughout the beginning of league play, but Summit now stands alone.

The Storm have dominated through league play, remaining undefeated and beating every team by at least 10 points. On Monday, Summit had a one-point lead at the half, and in the third quarter, Collin Moore happened. The 6'2 guard found quite the success throughout the quarter, as he had 19 points. Moore finished with 24 points and Pearson Carmichael continues to make a case for Gatorade Player of the Year as he had 27 points.

Caldera attempted to keep the game close in the second half. Forward Trace Benner was all over the court and finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds. After shooting lights out in the first half the Wolfpack struggled in the second. They fell behind and couldn't catch up, Summit beat Caldera 71-59.

The Storm have lost in the state championship two years straight. The seniors for the Storm have the talent and the experience to end up on top this season.
