REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Summit left no doubt in Friday’s series finale, delivering a dominant 18-0 win over Ridgeview to take the three-game set between two of the top teams in the state.

After splitting the first two games, including a 10-run loss to Ridgeview on Tuesday and a narrow one-run win on Wednesday, the Storm came out firing on all cylinders. Fueled by a relentless offensive attack and a lights-out performance from pitcher Alex Via, Summit rolled Ridgeview in five innings.

“They came out, played an incredibly tight game on Wednesday, and today everything just came together,” said head coach Aaron Boehm. “It’s all about just having fun. They said if you play loose, you have fun. You can do some amazing things.”

Jackson Parker opened the scoring with a two-RBI triple in the first inning, and the Storm never looked back. Summit batted around in the third inning, piling on hit after hit to blow the game wide open.

“I mean, everyone just put it together today,” said Parker. “I put it together. Alex. Everyone on the team. I think the first two days, that’s what we lacked. And we realized that’s what we’ve got to do to win, because they did it to us on Tuesday, and we had to respond on Friday.”

Via, a Portland commit, was dominant on both sides of the ball, racking up strikeouts on the mound while helping his own cause at the plate with multiple RBIs.

“It’s huge for us,” Via said. “Ridgeview is absolutely the team to beat this year. And I think we did an amazing job just coming back, especially after that first game. That was real tough. But it felt amazing. The team is really good, and those are really great wins for us.”

Ridgeview beat Summit by 10 in the series opener, while Summit edged the Ravens 2-1 on Wednesday before their offensive explosion on Friday.

Next up, Summit takes on Mountain View, while Ridgeview looks to bounce back against Caldera.
