Oregon inmates sue over COVID-19 response, attorneys seek class certification

Last April, Oregon inmates sued Governor Kate Brown and the Oregon Department of Corrections over COVID-19 response in state prisons. 42 inmates have died of the virus in the Oregon prison system. Attorneys representing the plaintiffs filed a motion Monday asking the court to certify three classes of people currently or formerly in ODOC custody.
