Bend fire hydrant removed after gushing water for the past month

 A resident of west Bend's Saddleback neighborhood said a notice went out saying a service would be done on Saturday on a fire hydrant that has been leaking and gushing water for the past month. A visit to the location Sunday showed the hydrant has been removed, replaced by cones, caution tape and boards surrounding the spot. Sun Country Water owner Butch Rodgers told us they're searching for parts to make repairs. Bend resident Joe McMahon said they received a boil-water notice due to a related drop in water pressure.
