Smoke alarms installed in dozens of Central Oregonians’ homes during ‘Sound the Alarm’ event

The 'Sound the Alarm' event kicked off Saturday in Bend and Redmond. It was hosted by the Red Cross, and there were nearly 150 alarms installed, as 64 volunteers made nearly 80 homes and nearly 200 residents safer from fire.
