REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) —Redmond residents got a chance to sit down with their police force over a cup of joe. Wednesday was Coffee with a Cop at M Caffè downtown.

Those who joined from 10 till noon got the chance to have an open conversation with law enforcement. They do this at different cafes and coffee shops across Redmond so they can hear from different communities.

Lt. April Huey, Public information officer for Redmond police said, "They all sorts of different things. They talk about different programs that we have available at the police department. They talk about maybe some struggles in their neighborhood that they've experienced.

"For example, our last Coffee with the Cops, a couple (talked) to me about some traffic concerns in the area, and then other times it's just crime in their neighborhood or they're just a great way to meet the officers in their community."

The next Coffee with a Cop has not been announced. They like to do the event every other month, so keep an eye on their social media for the announcement of the next date and location.
