More snow making its way to the High Desert

KTVZ

Happy Saturday Central Oregon!

Another day of cold weather, and we saw those clouds roll in this afternoon.

A Winter Weather Advisory is set to go into effect this evening starting at 9 p.m. and that will be in place until Sunday at 4 p.m.

We are looking at another chance for some snow showers to develop this evening and move through the region.

Tonight, we are looking at winds out of the south at about 10-15 mph.

We are looking at those showers beginning this evening and sticking with us through the overnight hours before breaking up heading into Sunday morning.

With this system, we are looking at another 1-3 inches for much of the High Desert.

That means we are also looking at more snow in the Cascades to wrap up this holiday weekend.

If you are planning on traveling over the passes this Sunday just know that we are once again looking at winter driving conditions, with about another 1-4 inches of snow expected up at the pass levels.

We are also looking at windy conditions up on that passes as well, with wind gusts up around 35 mph.

It's likely that this system will break up by mid morning to early afternoon on Sunday. For Sunday, we are looking at highs in the low to mid 30s.

Then by Monday, we should see things start to dry up, with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

By the middle of the week, we are looking at highs in the 40s, as things at this point look to stay dry until next weekend.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Central Oregon!
