Hot and hazy

Happy Labor Day weekend, Central Oregon!

An Air Quality Alert is in place for Central Oregon until Monday at 11am.

A ridge of high pressure will continue over the region, but gradually weaken through the weekend. Highs expected in the low to mid 90s through Sunday with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

A cold front will drop into the Pacific Northwest on Monday. This will produce northerly winds through the day and significantly lower temperatures, back closer to average, in the low 80s.

Another developing ridge of high pressure will begin to move into the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday and remain in place through the coming week. That will keep conditions dry, with no precipitation expected.

Temperatures will be cooler Monday and Tuesday, then begin to warm back to above normal through the week.
