Summer-like weather to start –not end — the week

Happy Monday, Central Oregon!

A ridge of high pressure will stick with us through the early part of the week. This will keep skies sunny, conditions dry, and high temperatures back in the low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday. Lows will bottom out in the high 30s to low 40s this week.

The ridge that's keeping us warm and clear will begin to break down and move east Thursday. The trough starts to move into the region on Friday with mostly cloudy skies and a chance of rain. The main impacts will be over the weekend, as the trough front moves through.

Rain will be likely be accompanied by much cooler temperatures, with highs in the 50s and 60s. It will be breezy at times over the weekend into Monday. A second system will move across the area next Monday, with a chance of rain.
