Warm, sunny weekend ahead for Central Oregon

Central Oregon will stay sunny and warm through the weekend, with temperatures reaching the 80s in many communities Sunday and Monday.

The National Weather Service says Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras will see highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s Saturday, with light winds. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with lows in the mid-40s to lower 50s.

Sunday will be sunny and warmer, with highs in the lower to mid-80s across Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras. Sisters, La Pine, Sunriver and Camp Sherman will generally see highs in the mid-70s to lower 80s.

Mostly clear skies are expected Sunday night, with lows in the mid-40s to lower 50s across much of Central Oregon. Areas closer to the Cascades will see lows ranging from the mid-40s to mid-50s.

Monday stays sunny and warm. Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras will see highs in the lower to mid-80s. Communities along the east slopes of the Cascades will generally stay in the 70s, with some valleys reaching the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Partly cloudy conditions return Monday night and Tuesday. Tuesday highs will range from the mid-70s to mid-80s across Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras, while areas closer to the Cascades will be cooler, with highs in the upper 60s to upper 70s.

Temperatures trend cooler through the middle and end of the week. From Tuesday night through Thursday night, highs will generally range from the lower 70s to lower 80s across Central Oregon, while areas near the Cascades will see highs mainly in the upper 50s to upper 60s, with warmer valleys reaching the upper 60s to upper 70s.

Overnight lows will also turn cooler later in the week, falling into the 40s across much of Central Oregon and into the upper 30s to mid-40s in some communities near the Cascades.

By Friday, mostly cloudy skies are expected. Highs will fall into the mid to upper 60s around Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras, with lower 50s to lower 60s near the Cascades and lower to mid-60s in some valleys.
