LOCAL ALERT WEATHER DAY WEDNESDAY: SNOW AND RAIN WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS

LOCAL ALERT WEATHER DAY WEDNESDAY: There is a Winter Weather Advisory in place for the Cascades from 4am until 10 pm Wednesday for 3 - 8" of snow and gusty winds. The 97 corridor will see a wintry mix of rain and snow from Lava Butte south into Klamath County. The slick roads will create travel issues in for the morning commute.

A Local Alert Weather Day Wednesday for a variety of weather issues

The Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect after midnight tonight and will last through the day Wednesday.

Other locations north of Lava Butte will see only rain, but there may be some isolated thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. If you have made outdoor plans Wednesday, be advised that the weather may impact your activities. The threat of lightning will be very low but it is not zero. Remember, when you hear the thunder, get inside or "When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors" to stay safe.

Issued by the Storm Prediction Center, Thunderstorms are possible, not severe, in the green shaded area tomorrow.
