Sunny New Years Day, chance of precipitation tomorrow

Happy New Year everyone!

We are kicking off 2024 with sunny and clear conditions. High temperatures will be hitting the 40s throughout the region.

Some foggy conditions are expected through Tuesday as a ridge continues to build. We should be a getting little bit of a break from the fog from tomorrow into Wednesday.

We'll be dry until Tuesday morning. That day we are expecting both rain and snow. mainly across the Cascades but it could be moving eastward.

Precipitation should be ending around Wednesday night.

Temperatures will cool slightly towards the weekend and early next week, staying near or slightly below average.
