Clear skies and near average temperatures as warming trend continues

Happy Thursday, Central Oregon!  This morning we will have freezing temperatures for your morning commute.  Roads are fairly dry so there’s less concern for black ice, but it’s still certainly possible before temperatures warm above freezing.

Today should bring clear skies with temperatures a few degrees warmer than yesterday and near average.  We will continue to warm into the 60s, which is above average, by this weekend.

High pressure will be dominating the region which should secure clear conditions for the foreseeable forecast.  This pattern will allow the sun to warm the area during the day, but also make for chilly overnight low temperatures.  This current weather pattern will begin to change likely by the middle of next week.

Wind will be fairly calm through the morning and become north and northeast in the 5-10 mph range by later this afternoon.  Highs will be in the 40s and 50s and overnight lows will be in the 20s and 30s.
