Dry conditions remain, chilly nights and mild afternoons

Not much change in the overall pattern as we move toward the weekend. The overnight temps have been dipping below freezing while the afternoon highs remain a few degrees below normal. Normal temperatures for this time of year in Bend and Redmond are 58 and 60 respectively. Highs tomorrow will be close to or above that mark.

The other feature this week has been the breezy to windy pattern, which has now relaxed. The wind flow from the north is bringing in the cooler than normal temperature profile, but it has been reduced from gusty to breezy to calm at times.

Over the weekend the region will hit the middle to upper 60s Saturday ahead of some cloud cover slated for the overnight time frame. Sunday will be about 10° cooler than Saturday under partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is a hint of some mountain rain Saturday night and early Sunday morning, but amounts are expected to be light and may be mingled with some snow at the highest peaks of the Cascades.

Generally, the pattern is quiet and dry.
