Quiet pattern today, slight chance of showers Tuesday

The region is under a general risk of thunderstorms today, but it looks to be mainly to the east.  The NE portion of Oregon, especially the Blue Mountains, may see some robust storms tomorrow, but the Cascades are in line for some scattered showers.

Tuesday will be much cooler with highs near 70, which is about right for late May.  Winds will pick up and Central Oregon looks to be in line for a partly to mostly cloudy day to start the new work week.

Wednesday will be the coolest day of the short work week as the mercury in the thermometer will only reach the middle 60s.  The cooler than normal pattern will be short lived as the temperature readings will reach the 70s again as we close out the week and head into the weekend.

Thursday will see temperatures in the low 70s followed by middle to upper 70s on Friday and Saturday.
