Warm once again today with some isolated storms

Today the mercury in the thermometer will rise into the middle 80s as the area deals with well above normal temperatures. Normal highs for early June are the low 70s, the last few days we have been dealing with high 80s.

Isolated storms are possible in the heat of the day. There is some low level moisture in the region, and it may be just enough to allow for some pop-up storms. They are called pop ups because they develop in the heat of the day and seem to pop up quickly and drop rain quickly. There may also be some lightning associated with these summer storms.

Sunday will be slightly cooler than today, but still well above normal. Expect to see highs in the low 80s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. The warmer than normal pattern will continue into the new work week.

Monday and Tuesday will reach the low 80s again. I don't expect to see temps in the 70s until the end of the week.
