Not as warm, but still above normal temperatures remain this week

KTVZ

Well above normal temperatures once again Saturday will translate into some warmer than normal conditions Sunday.  The dome of heat will continue to provide Central Oregon with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Scattered storms are once again possible to pop up in the heat of the day, but generally to the east and south of the Tri-Counties.

Some light rain is possible east of the region before sunrise Sunday, but generally a quiet and mild night.

Sunday will see the warm pattern continue as highs reach the upper 70s and low 80s. A few clouds develop over the region and the flow of air arrives from the north or northeast.  The clouds will inhibit the heating process, but I still expect that well above normal pattern to continue.

Monday heats back up as the west winds arrive and another ridge in the eastern Pacific influences our temperature profile.  The area will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny and the highs will be in the low to middle 80s. Expect more of the same on Tuesday.

Although we are only expected to reach the low 80s, we are still above normal for early June. Remember to stay hydrated in the heat, and never leave kids or pets in your car.
