Dry today, warm days ahead

We are dry, breezy, and on the warm side today. There is a Fire Weather Warning out for areas in Jefferson County and Deschutes County. These areas include Madras, Prineville, Redmond, and Bend. This is precautionary but it lets us know that weather conditions are windy and very dry, which could lead to critical fires situations starting and/or growing quickly so practice fire safety.

Summer-feel temperatures are expected for the first half of this week. Today will be mid 80s across the region. There will be a spike again in heat on Tuesday where areas will jump back into the 90s but there is a short cooldown expected on Thursday when mid and low 70s will be the highs for everyone. On Friday, we’re right back in the 80s again. Sunshine will continue for the next week. Stay hydrated!

Wednesday's afternoon winds will be noticeable.

Stay Safe.
