Warming up and drying out to near normal

KTVZ

The two low pressure systems that we were dealing with yesterday put off a decent amount of rain, just not for us. The low pressure off the coast kept its distance and moved a little slow as it passed, which left us with little in the way of rain. Rain was seen east and west of us but because we sat right in the middle of the two systems, we ended up in the “dry spot.” We saw a couple light showers, but no substantial rain. Both systems have officially exited our region now which means we’ll have clearing skies today and temperatures will be a few degrees warmer.

Highs today will climb into the low 70s across the region. Lows tonight in the 30s and 40s. It will be a cloudy morning but the sun will work to burn off the clouds through the afternoon. We’ll heat up a bit more through the next couple days to near-normal temperatures, in the mid 70s.

This mild, dry pattern with clear skies will be the pattern for the rest of the week. Air quality is expected to remain good. Central Oregon will have some beautiful and comfortable weather through the long-term forecast!

Have a happy Wednesday.
