Cloudy today, showers late Sunday, rain Veterans Day

The past few days the weather conditions have been more reminiscent of early October than mid-November as temps hit the middle and upper 60s. There was a lot of sunshine both Thursday and Friday, but today we will be partly to mostly cloudy. Even with the cloud cover the mercury in the thermometer will rise to the upper 50s to low 60s. Showers are likely to cross interstate 5 in the afternoon, but should run out of gas crossing the Cascades.

Sunday will be a bit cooler, and we should be mostly overcast. Highs will reach the middle to upper 50s in the afternoon. There is going to be some light rain after sunset Sunday, and that should be the beginning of what will be several days of precipitation. It will be a chilly rain Sunday night, mingled with some high level snow before the sun comes up on Veterans Day.

Monday, Veterans Day, will be cloudy and cool with off and on cold rain. Highs will only reach the upper 40s due to the cloud cover and the rain. There may be a brief break in the rain around mid-day, hopefully during most of the events planned for our Veterans and their families. More cold rain overnight into Tuesday with some mountain snow and a wintry mix early Tuesday.

The rest of the week will be defined by off and on cold rain, early morning rain mixed with snow, and very little sunshine.

Thank you Veterans.
