Rainy Friday with on and off showers and cool temperatures lingering

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A low pressure system off the coast is bringing in bands of light rain and high-level snow through the next few days.

The mountains have a high chance of getting steady rain, while lower elevations will see lighter amounts.  Prepare for off and on showers throughout the day.

Highs will rise into the 50s and 60s this afternoon.

On Saturday and Sunday, periods of light rain will continue across the tri-counties. It looks like the bulk of the rain will remain to the west of the Cascades.

If you are traveling through the mountain passes, be prepared for slick conditions due to a mix of snow and rain.

Overnight into Monday, temperatures will be cold enough for some areas to see a mix of rain and snow.

Accumulation isn’t expected for most, but light snow could stick in spots like La Pine, Sunriver, or Sisters. Roads may be a little slick for the Monday morning commute, so take it slow if you’re heading out early.

Colder than normal air will hang around through the week, keeping daytime highs in the 50s through the next several days.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday!
