Cooler today with passing showers, wetter midweek with mountain snow

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Expect cooler temperatures today, with most locations in the mid to upper 40s and a few spots reaching the low 50s.

A mix of rain and snow moved in Monday morning, with a few lingering showers possible today and Tuesday. Temperatures turn a bit milder Tuesday, warming into the mid 50s.

Mountain snow picks up midweek as a stronger system moves in Wednesday through Thursday. While no winter weather alerts are in place, be prepared for possible travel impacts through the passes.

Wednesday looks wet across the High Desert, with mainly rain during the day. As colder air arrives, rain may mix with or briefly change to snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning, though little to no accumulation is expected. There's a slight chance for isolated t-storms...low but not zero.

Showers begin to taper off Thursday as skies gradually clear, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.

A quieter and warmer pattern returns heading into the weekend. Expect mostly sunny skies Friday with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Temperatures warm into the 60s and low 70s over the weekend under mostly sunny skies — a nice way to wrap up the week.
