Dry start to July, warming trend will continue into the Holiday Weekend

KTVZ

Bend, Ore (KTVZ) – The crisp pattern that began over this past weekend is gradually changing. The deep cool pocket of air that provide high elevation snow has moved well east. The slow progressing warm up will begin today.

Highs Wednesday will top out in the middle 70s as we slowly warm to the 80s Thursday. The flow of air will be coming in from the west northwest and will bring in the warmer conditions. Mostly sunny skies are expected to define the day so if you are out and about, make sure to use sunscreen.

Thursday will begin a lengthy run of days in the 80s. Normal high temperatures for the first part of July are in the low 80s so we will hit that on Thursday and warm up a few degrees on Friday to the middle 80s.

Not much other than temperatures changing the rest of the week. Highs Friday hit the middle 80s followed by upper 80s over the weekend. The long holiday weekend should not be hampered by any rain, although it would be nice to get some soaking rain this time of year. The dry and warmer pattern will remain into next week.

Sunday and Monday both have a chance for us to breach the 90-degree mark as I am forecasting upper 80s. On Tuesday we have some clouds move in but the possibility of a passing shower is nearly zero at this time.

Please, Stay safe.
