Mostly sunny and mild end to June, warming through the week

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re tracking a gradual warm-up through the week with dry conditions.

We’ll end June on a cooler note, with highs in the low to mid 70s. That’s a few degrees below our average high of around 80 this time of year.

Temperatures will fall into the 30s and 40s overnight under mostly clear skies. If you have sensitive or potted plants, be sure to protect them, as some areas could dip below freezing by early Wednesday.

We kick off July tomorrow! Temperatures will warm into the mid 70s Wednesday, then climb into the upper 70s and low 80s by Thursday and Friday.

Expect above normal temperatures in the upper 80s with a few low 90s on the Fourth of July.

We'll stay dry with plenty of sunshine, so it looks like a great day for barbecues, the river, or any other outdoor plans. Dry vegetation can ignite quickly, so follow local fireworks restrictions and use caution.

Those heading to Mount Bachelor for summer activities can expect afternoon highs in the 50s to low 60s this week. It will be comfortable for hiking, biking, ziplining, and other mountain adventures.

The warmer pattern will continue into early next week with plenty of sunshine ahead.
