Very warm through the weekend, heat builds early next week

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Warm and very dry weather will continue across Central Oregon over the next several days.

We'll see another mostly sunny day today, with afternoon highs climbing into the mid and upper 80s. Friday warms up by just a degree or two, so you'll hardly notice a difference in temperature.

Elevated fire danger continues as afternoon humidity drops into the single digits and teens, keeping vegetation extremely dry.

It will be a very warm weekend ahead with temperatures in the upper 80s with partly cloudy skies. 

A strengthening ridge of high pressure will build early next week, pushing temperatures into the upper 80s and low 90s from Monday through at least Wednesday.

Please continue to follow all fire restrictions and burn bans. Drought conditions remain a concern this summer, and we all play an important role in preventing human-caused wildfires.
