Hot pattern, showers/storms possible today and tomorrow

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Heat has been building across Oregon and will continue through at least the weekend. At the same time, monsoon moisture is bringing the chance for showers and storms today and Wednesday. Keep an eye on the sky today and tomorrow.

High temperatures could reach the upper 80s and 90s again today, although increasing cloud cover could keep some areas a little cooler.

Wind gusts could pick up to around 25 to 30 mph later today.

Fire weather remains a concern because some storms could produce little rainfall. This could increase the risk of lightning starting new fires.

We should return to dry conditions by Thursday, but temperatures will remain very warm, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.

There’s no relief from the heat as we head into the weekend. High temperatures could reach the 90s Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with mostly sunny and dry conditions expected.
