Very warm and dry this week, several active wildfires

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Wildfires remain the main concern this week, with several active fires bringing smoke, travel restrictions and evacuation notices across the region.

Very warm and dry conditions will persist over the next several days as a strong ridge of high pressure blocks moisture from reaching the Pacific Northwest. No measurable precipitation is expected through the weekend.

Highs will reach the upper 80s today under mostly sunny skies. Winds will remain light and variable, with similar conditions expected Wednesday.

Tonight, temperatures will fall into the 40s and 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Temperatures will continue to warm through the end of the work week, with mid 90s by Friday. Sunny skies will continue to dominate the forecast.

Saturday will be another hot day with highs in the low 90s. Temperatures will then ease back into the mid 80s Sunday and Monday under sunny skies.
