Smoke and haze today, temperatures heat up this week

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Temperatures will reach the upper 70s to low 80s today, so enjoy the cooler weather before the heat returns this week.

Expect sunshine mixed with some smoke and haze. Winds will be lighter today, but conditions remain very dry.

Overnight lows will fall into the 40s before temperatures climb into the upper 80s Tuesday under sunny skies.

Fire danger will increase Tuesday as winds pick up and humidity drops. As of this morning, Warm Springs is included in a Fire Weather Watch.

Temperatures will continue to climb as high pressure builds over the region. Highs will reach the mid-90s Wednesday before nearing triple digits Thursday, the hottest day of the week.

Hot and sunny weather will continue through Friday and into the weekend. Highs will ease into the low 90s Saturday and Sunday, but that is still above the seasonal average in the mid 80s.
