Warm and breezy today, temps cooling down

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Skies will remain mostly cloudy through mid-morning before gradually clearing.

Highs will range from the upper 70s to mid 80s today, with breezy winds.

Temperatures will gradually drop into the weekend as a low pressure system brings cooler air to the region.

Friday will be sunny and seasonable, with highs in the low 80s. That is typical for late August.

Skies will stay mostly sunny through the weekend. Highs will top out in the mid 70s on Saturday before returning to the low 80s by Sunday.

This is will be the last weekend of summer as the meteorological summer ends on Monday August 31st. Go out and enjoy the pleasant conditions!

Highs will reach the mid 80s Monday under partly cloudy skies.

There is a slight chance of showers Tuesday, but that is the only opportunity for wet weather in the seven-day forecast.

A partial lunar eclipse will also be visible Thursday night into early Friday. It will begin around 7:30 p.m. and last about five hours. The eclipse will peak around 9:30 p.m., when 96% of the moon will be covered by Earth’s shadow. Viewing conditions look fairly good in Central Oregon, although the moon will be low on the horizon.
