Cooler weekend, possible showers next week

Saturday will be the first mild day since the beginning of August when we hit the upper 70s. With highs in the low 70s and lows in the middle 40s, it will start to feel much more like fall than summer. It will be a bit breezy Saturday as well with some gusty winds from the north at around 15 – 20 mph.  Lows overnight into Sunday, as mentioned above, will dip below freezing for a brief period in La Pine and Sisters, Bend and points north will be in the upper 30s.

Morning lows Sunday will be crisp.

The cool down will be short lived as the mercury heads back to near 80 on Sunday. The dry and breezy pattern will remain through Monday.

Monday will be warm and dry with some clouds arriving well into the evening. Highs will reach the middle 80s during the afternoon.

Tuesday will be the beginning of a nice run of wet weather. Possibly a period of “wetting” rains that will be beneficial to the parched earth. Not that this will break us from the drought, that will be nearly impossible to do for quite some time, but we will see some showers.

There is a mention of a few thunderstorms but I feel they will be few and far between. The general pattern will be light rain, off and on, through at least Thursday, maybe Friday.
